Does Doc3 include machine translation and which engines can I use?

Yes. Doc3 includes its own neural MT engine with unlimited use in Pro. You can also connect external MT engines—DeepL, Google, and Microsoft Translator—by adding your API key in Account Settings.

How do I connect DeepL, Google, or Microsoft Translator to Doc3?

Open Account Settings → Commercial MT Settings and paste your API key from the chosen MT provider. Doc3 simply connects to the account you manage with that provider.

What is CrossCheck real-time QA in Doc3?

CrossCheck performs 60+ checks for numbers, punctuation, tags, glossary terms, and consistency. You can apply checking profiles and get warnings while translating.

Does Doc3 support many languages?

Can I manage translation memories and glossaries online?

How do I cancel my Doc3 subscription?

You can cancel a paid subscription via the cancel option in your Account Settings. Service continues until the end of the current billing period and then stops renewing.

How do I terminate my Doc3 account or request cancellation by email?

To terminate your account (free or paid) by email, send a notice to notify@doc3.com stating your user-ID and clearly in English that you want to cancel your account and/or subscription. Download private data before termination; data is deleted after a retention period as stated in the terms.

What happens to my projects and data after cancellation?

Your access remains active until the end of the paid period. After termination, Doc3 deletes user data after the stated retention window, so export your files, memories, and glossaries before cancelling.

Doc3 is an AI translation & CAT tool solution spun off from an internal CAT tool developed by idioma Co., Ltd. The concept builds on +45 years of experience in producing and delivering technical translation.

Doc3 has been developed by a team of programmers in Prague, Czech Republic. It was first launched in 2011 as a Windows app under the name iQube. This CAT tool has been thoroughly tested and improved over the years. For example, translators and reviewers of an international LSP, idioma s.r.o., have been using the solution for over a decade.

Since idioma s.r.o. as well as its parent company idioma Co., Ltd. adhere to ISO 9001 quality management certification and data control conforming to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), these principles are present in Doc3 too. Moreover, thanks to using cloud-hosted servers, translators worldwide can work in a highly secure environment that prevents data leakage.

The current Doc3 version takes over all the functionality and smart features of the original version. Basically, the only difference is that the CAT tool is now a browser app that can run on any platform. It works on a PC, a Macbook, a tablet, even your smartphone.

To use Doc3, you need to set up an account by entering some basic information. After that you can use the CAT tool as much as you want. We host your account in the cloud on secure servers in Europe in full compliance with the GDPR legislation.
